Job Description

Geneseo Central School is accepting applications for an Anticipated Speech and Language Pathologist (K-12).  We are seeking a dynamic team player who is willing to work collaboratively with our staff and provide services for the benefit of educating our students.  This will be a 10-month position which follows the school instructional calendar.  Extended School Year opportunities are also available. 

Interviews will begin upon receipt of applications.  The anticipated start date is August 28.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementing individualized intervention strategies that foster communicative competence
• Collaboration and consultation with classroom teachers
• Selecting and conducting appropriate assessments based on individual student needs
• Preparing evaluation summaries and annual review reports
• Develop Individualized Education Plans that are strength-based for overall education improvement
• Participate in Committee on Special Education meetings
• Engage in continuing education and professional learning opportunities 
• Medicaid notes and documentation

Job Qualifications

• Valid New York State Certification in Speech and Language Disabilities
• New York State Licensure
