Plans, organizes and directs special education programming throughout the District. Provides leadership and supervises and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Interprets law and regulation and policy procedures. Monitors, implements and/or directs psychological and counseling services with students, parents and staff. This is a 12 month GAA unit member position.
Essential Responsibilities
Performance Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics
Certification as a School District Administrator
Successful teaching experience (preferably in special education)
Direct experience in the writing of IEP and administration of NYS and Federal regulations
