Job Description

A GCS Teacher serves as an integral member of the Geneseo CSD team, supporting the district’s mission to provide a
safe, inclusive, and high-quality educational environment. This position requires commitment to excellence,
collaboration, and continuous improvement in service of student success.

Major Responsibilities:

• Design and facilitate engaging, hands-on STEAM-based projects that build and strengthen students' skills in
  science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
• Partner with classroom teachers to plan and support Project-Based Learning experiences that connect directly to
  classroom curriculum and instructional goals.
• Perform duties aligned with district goals, policies, and New York State regulations.
• Support and promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for students, staff, and families.
• Implement and/or support high-quality instructional practices that actively engage students, foster curiosity and
  creativity, and develop future-ready skills.
• Utilize data, feedback, and professional judgment to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, families, and community stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting as required.
• Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
• Attend meetings, events, and activities as required or assigned.
• Contribute to school/district initiatives, committees, or improvement efforts.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including students, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

• New York State teaching certification .
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
