Geneseo Central School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic long-term substitute (LTS) teaching assistant to join our team immediately.  The substitute LTS TA will work closely with the teacher to maintain continuity of learning, foster a positive classroom environment, and adapt instruction to support all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with the curriculum

• Support students' individual learning needs, including those with IEPs or 504 plans

• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development

• Implement classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment

• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and school staff to ensure student progress

• Maintain accurate attendance and grading records during the assignment

• Valid TA certification (required)

• Experience in co-teaching or working in a classroom

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students
